The Cash Campaign Email gives you a chance to reach out to your non-winning bidders to ask them to contribute to your organization.
How it Works
This feature sends a personalized email to your non-winning bidders promoting online cash donations as an alternative way to support your cause and raise auction earnings. Links in the email and your auction site make it easy for them to contribute to your cause using the same credit card intended for purchases. All donations made using the Donate Cash feature will be tracked under Close Out > Cash Donations and can be processed using the same automatic payment processor selected for your auction (Stripe, Greater Giving, or iATS).
In addition to using this feature to address your non-winning bidders, BiddingForGood also recommends that you send an email to your entire list asking for their continued support through cash donations. Visit Create Email and use the "Donate Cash / Thank You" template.
How to Send the Cash Campaign Email
- Be sure that you have closed all of your auction items (Close Out > Award Items).
- Confirm that you have the Cash Donations feature ON (Event > Cash Donations).
- Write your Cash Campaign Email under Close Out > Cash Campaign Email. There's some sample text available for you to work off of, but feel free to edit it and make it your own. You can include information about your fundraising needs and goals, and appeal to bidders by discussing the positive impact any additional funds will have on your organization.
- Click on the Save button to save your work. Don't worry! On the next page, you'll be able to edit the text if necessary.
- Send the email!
