Will my homepage be live?
Your Auction Open Homepage doesn't activate automatically. You'll first need to create it under Event > Web Site > Home page and start with the Auction Open template. Be sure to create your Auction Open homepage in advance, so that you can activate it right away when your auction is scheduled to open!
To activate your home page, go to Event > Web Site > Home page, scroll to Show Homepages for Current Auction and click "Activate next to the page you would like to activate.
How will bidders know to bid?
Bidders may find your online one of two ways: due to your own promotions, or if your auction is opted into the BiddingForGood Bidder Community, through BiddingForGood.com . Throughout the duration of your open auction, you should be sending emails to fuel the bidding fire and also promote using social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
If you haven't already, create and schedule the send of the Online Auction is Now Open Email. To create the email, go to Promotion > Create Email. Once it's created, go to Email > Send Email to either send the email now or schedule it for later.
Are my items ready for bidding?
Bidding will turn on automatically based on the open date under Event > Online Bidding Dates. If you've entered items into your catalog, enabled them for online bidding, and have published them to your catalog, your online auction catalog is ready!
Are items donated via the Donate Items feature automatically added to my catalog?
If you've enabled the Donate Items feature on your homepages and emails, odds are you'll receive online item donations. If you receive a donation via the Donate Items page, any team member opted in to receive Admin emails will be notified automatically the following day. These donations will be listed as Pending donations under Items > Donated Items. In the Donated Items page, you'll be able to Approve, Reject, or learn more about the donation. If you approve the item, it will move to the Draft bin for you to edit, if necessary.
What else should I be doing to get more bidders?
Promote, promote, promote! Email promotion is very important to a successful auction. Use our Email tool to send auction-related emails to your community. Use the Share this Page link on your auction site to share your auction on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. And don't forget about incorporate more "traditional" promotions: newsletters, postcards, radio promotions, etc.
Are my BiddingForGood Market Place items in my catalog?
When you order BiddingForGood Market Place, they must first be approved, then Published to your catalog from your Draft bin. Once they're approved, you'll be notified via email and then you'll be able to publish them to your catalog.
How will my bidders know how to use BiddingForGood?

To encourage bidding, send emails regularly to your community. Your community may register to bid in advance of placing a bid, or as they attempt to bid on any catalog item. If your auction is a part of the BiddingForGood Bidder Community, your bidders will receive weekly newsletters from BiddingForGood. Bidders who have placed "watches" or bid on items will also be emailed automatic Bid Alert system emails. Bidders can manage their Bid Alert preferences on their My Items page.
What do I do if a bidder wants to remove their bid or enters the incorrect bid amount?

What do I do at the end of my online auction?
Bidding turns off automatically. You'll need to activate an Auction Closed page (you can also schedule this to activate at a specific time). Also, if you haven't already done so, select your Payment Processor under Event > Set Up > Payment Processor. Next, prepare to “close out”, or award, your online items to their winning bidders under the Close tab. Learn more about closing your online auction by reviewing the Close Out training
How do I get my money at the end of the auction?
If you've partnered with Stripe, Greater Giving, or IATS, the proceeds will be deposited to your account within several days of awarding your items and processing payments in the Close Out tab.
