Joining Multiple Names into Households during Import

If your import file has rows that contain names of two different people (spouses, for example), GiftWorks can either:

Create a donor with a household profile, in which both names are accounted for in that one record.

Create a donor with a household profile, create the spouse (only) as an affiliate donor, and relate it to the household. This puts both names in the household record, but also allows you to separately track information about the spouse in the affiliate record.

Create a donor with a household profile, create both the donor and the spouse as affiliate donors, and relate them to the household. This puts both names in the household record, but also allows you to separately track information about both in the affiliate records.

Create a donor for the primary donor, create the spouse as an affiliate donor, and create a relationship between the two records. This allows you to track information separately about the donor and spouse, but they are not joined within a household record.

The option you choose will be applied to all donors with spouse information imported during this import
