Donor SmartList to show monthly giving

If you want to show donors that donated in ALL of the 4 months:

  • You can create a SmartList based on Donors. Set the criteria as: Donation History>Period 1 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00
  • Click refine next to that criteria set
  • Click on Append More.
  • Click on the Click here to select a criteria category link and then set the criteria as: Donation History>Period 2 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00 you will repeat this step two more times to add in Period 3 and Period 4 criteria.
  • Click on the "Options" tab to set up the time frame for Periods 1 through 4. Give each Period a name -for Example, name Period 1 January 2011, Period 2 February 2011, Period 3 March 2011, Period 4 April 2011 - then set up the date range for EACH month. Since you need this Giving to be specific to a Campaign then you will need to scroll down and check the box for that Campaign when setting up EACH Period. You can then click on Customize to show a column for the donors total giving in that time frame. Scroll down through the list and find the options called January 2011 Giving", February 2011 Giving, March 2011 Giving, April 2011 Giving

This list will show you donors that gave a TOTAL of less than $5000.00 to that specific campaign in ALL of those 4 months. ** You would need to create new SmartLists for as many months as you need. You can then export these SmartLists to Excel and combine them there.

If you want to show donors that donated in ANY of the 4 months:

  • You can create a SmartList based on Donors. Add the first criteria set as: Donation History>Period 1 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00
  • Add a second criteria set as: Donation History>Period 2 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00
  • Add a third criteria set as: Donation History>Period 3 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00
  • Add a fourth criteria set as: Donation History>Period 4 total donations and choose "is less than" and enter in $5000.00
  • Click on the "Options" tab to set up the time frame for Periods 1 through 4. Give each Period a name -for Example, name Period 1 January 2011, Period 2 February 2011, Period 3 March 2011, Period 4 April 2011 - then set up the date range for EACH month.
