Acknowledging Tax-deductible vs Non Tax-deductible Donations

Adding a Donation custom field allows you to track tax-deductible and non tax-deductible contributions.

Go to Settings /Fields, Lists and More /Manage Donation Custom Fields.

Select Add a New Field and select Checkbox from the Field Type dropdown list and click Next. Name the field Tax Deductible. Choose the default value for the checkbox to later check donations that are tax deductible and click Save

Once you have entered all the information in Add a Donation check the Tax deductible Custom Field if the donation is tax deductible and click Save To generate a mailing for either the tax-deductible or no tax-deductible donations, create a new SmartList of Donations. Choose Donation Custom Fields and Tax deductible from the criteria category dropdown list. Select either Tax deductible is No or Tax deductible is Yes to create the list you want To generate a mailing for either the tax-deductible or no tax-deductible donations, create a new SmartList of Donations. Choose Donation Custom Fields and Tax deductible from the criteria category dropdown list. Select either Tax deductible is No or Tax deductible is Yes to create the list you want In the Related Action menu you can Send Mail to the donors, for the donations or add the donors to a mailing list.
