Existing GiftWorks users that upgrade to GiftWorks Anywhere

If you were an existing GiftWorks user that upgraded to GiftWorks Anywhere, you will need to move your GiftWorks database to the GiftWorks Anywhere server. Below are the steps for a Mac and for a PC. You will want to move your database file (the .gds file) to the desktop of your local computer before you start.

If you are using a Mac

Sign in to Citrix through portal (with the username and password you received in the Setup Instructions letter)and choose the File Explorer GiftWorks application

  • Click the arrow to the left of Computer
  • Click the arrow to the left of Local Disk (C)
  • You should see a Desktop folder – click on this folder. You will now see all of the files that are on the Desktop of your local computer on the right side of the File Explorer window.
  • Click on the .gds file and drag it over to the G: drive.

 If you are using a PC

Sign in to Citrix (with the username and password you received in the Setup Instructions letter) and choose the File Explorer GiftWorks application

  • Click the arrow to the left of Computer
  • Click the arrow to the left of Local Disk (C) drive
  • Click the arrow to the left of Users
  • Click the arrow to the left of the folder for your Computer Username
  • You should see a Desktop folder – click on this folder. You will now see all of the files that are on the Desktop of your local computer on the right side of the File Explorer window.
  • Click on the .gds file and drag it over to the G: drive
