Ranking Major Prospects

The two traditional scales on which donor prospects are evaluated include Affinity and Capacity. Consider creating two custom donor fields to manage this information.

Affinity is a measure of the closeness a donor feels with the mission of your organization. Use a list dropdown custom donor field to define the possible choices, for example: 1 - Identity 2 - High 3 - Medium 4 - Low 5 - None 0 - Unknown [Consider setting this as the field default.]

Capacity is an estimation of the giving capacity for this donor. Consider what you intend this estimation to represent. For example, is this someone's projected giving for a year or over the course of a three year campaign? Use a list dropdown custom donor field to define the possible choices, for example: 1 - $25,000 2 - $15,000 3 - $10,000 4 - $ 5,000 5 - $ 2,500 0 - Unknown [Consider setting this as the field default.]

You can create a Group to identify donors as major prospects. Create a new donor SmartLists and use the custom fields to define the SmartList.
