There are a few way to add a donor or donors into a Donor Group
When adding a new donor
During the Add a donor process you will see the Add to Groups dialog box. Here you check the box next to the Donor Group(s) you want to add that donor into.
When editing a donor
Scroll down to the Development Details section. Check the box next to the Donor Group(s) you want to add that donor into.
From a SmartList(to add multiple donors at one time)
- Go to Settings/Tools,Updates and Integration/Run a SmartUpdate
- Choose the Add SmartList Members to Groups option
- Choose a Donor SmartList and then choose the Donor Group(s) to add the entire list of donors into.
To add, edit or delete a Donor Group
Go to Settings/Fields,Lists and More/Change GiftWorks Built-In Fields/Donor Groups
You can also add a Donor Group when editing a Donor. Scroll down to the Development Details section and click on the Add Group button.
To choose a default Donor Group
Go to Settings/Organization Options and Setup/Change Default Values for GiftWorks Fields
Check the Group Name(s) to have set as the default value. Any donors added will be automatically assigned to those groups.
